Automate repeat welds on bridge reinforcement frames

The haibao robot bridge rebar frame welding system combines robot welding with dedicated tooling and part positioning. The Jiangsu Jiaojian reference application demonstrates robotic welding of reinforcement support frames used in bridge construction.

Fixture the frame before automating the weld

Frame geometry and bar location determine how the fixture supports and locates the assembly. The reference photographs show long fixtures and robotic access along the frame. A new project requires a review of bar sizes, overlaps, joint positions and loading methods.

Evaluate tracking and motion requirements

The equipment family describes PLC control, hydraulic positioning and seam-tracking or vision options. Sensors and robot motion are selected for the actual weld geometry and expected part variation. They do not remove the need to define tolerances and a suitable fixture.

Integrate welding into the reinforcement workflow

The cell layout should account for component preparation, assembly, welding and unloading. Twin-station arrangements may be evaluated where they fit the frame size and production flow. Final throughput depends on weld length, fixture operations and handling time.

Confirm weldability and acceptance

Provide the reinforcing steel grade, weld details and project inspection requirements. The applicable welding procedure and structural acceptance criteria must be established for the intended reinforcement product before production use.
