Controlled torch positioning for vessel and pipe welding

The haibao robot column and boom welding manipulator provides a configurable platform for mechanized welding of vessel shells, large pipes and fabricated metal structures. Select the welding process and working envelope around your parts, then integrate the manipulator with suitable workpiece handling equipment.

Match the manipulator to the joint

The equipment can be configured for internal or external longitudinal and circumferential seams. Other applications include vessel-head segment joints, internal overlay welding and reinforcement-area cladding. Access to the joint, torch clearance and workpiece support determine the final arrangement.

Choose the welding process

TIG, MIG/MAG, plasma arc welding and submerged arc welding are available as application-dependent process routes. Carbon steel, stainless steel, titanium and aluminum applications require different power sources, torches, consumables and welding procedures; one configuration should not be assumed to cover every material.

Build a complete welding station

A modular layout allows the manipulator to be combined with turning rolls, a positioner or a turning device. The equipment photographs show examples of the machine structure and torch installation. Boom travel, elevation, load capacity and positioning options are selected for the proposed project.

What is needed for a quotation?

Start with the largest and smallest workpieces, the joint locations and the required welding process. A drawing that shows internal access and available floor space helps define a practical column and boom arrangement.
