haibao robot delivered and commissioned a half-pipe jacket welding station for Shandong Zhongfu Environmental Technology. The installation welds the two sides of a half-pipe jacket on a reactor shell using coordinated rotation, torch movement and seam tracking.
The project photographs show a 3,200 mm diameter reactor shell supported on turning rolls. Long helical jacket seams require consistent torch orientation and travel speed while controlling heat input into the shell and the thinner half-pipe wall.
The twin torches are arranged on opposite sides of the half-pipe. Their angles and heights can be adjusted individually, while the welding head, turning rolls and positioning equipment work as a coordinated system. Symmetrical sequencing helps manage heat distribution; it does not eliminate the need to control distortion.
Laser tracking or mechanical following is selected to suit the application. Stored recipes organize the welding settings by part specification. The source lists typical station options for 800–5,000 mm shells and 25–114 mm half-pipe diameters with 2–6 mm walls; these are configurable ranges, not the dimensions of every delivered machine.
Delivery included installation, process calibration and operator training. The project report records approximately 3.2 times the previous welding efficiency, over 99% first-pass inspection acceptance and a 45-day manufacturing-to-production period. These are project-reported results; acceptance targets and schedules for new equipment are agreed for the actual workpieces.
Send shell diameter and length, half-pipe dimensions, material, joint details, inspection requirements and output targets. We will review the welding process, tracking method and machine arrangement.
