haibao robot · CUSTOMER APPLICATION
haibao robot supplied customized cutting robots to Fushun Machinery Equipment Manufacturing for openings in pressure vessel shells. The project moved repetitive opening preparation from manual marking and cutting toward programmed production.
Manual opening work depends heavily on skilled operators. Dimensional variation and uneven edges can increase fitting and rework before nozzle welding. Larger batches also make it difficult to maintain a predictable cutting schedule. The project focused on repeatable opening geometry and less close-range manual cutting work.
The published configuration combines 3D scanning and visual recognition, programmed path generation, servo motion and PLC control. Surface information supports path planning around the vessel geometry, while visual checks support alignment of the cut. Workpiece size, opening position, surrounding features and cutting conditions must be checked for each application.
For the source example of shells 1–3 m in diameter and 6–30 mm thick, the project report compares 4–6 hours of manual opening work involving 2–3 skilled workers with approximately 1–1.5 hours using the automated system. These figures describe the reported application and depend on opening quantity, geometry, loading and cutting process.
The source records installation, commissioning and operator training before the equipment entered batch production. The practical handover includes checking opening dimensions, edge condition, repeatability and the interface with subsequent nozzle fit-up.
Provide drawings showing nozzle axes, opening dimensions and bevel requirements, together with material, thickness and shell tolerances. Agreement on inspection and acceptance criteria is necessary before confirming the equipment scope. The cutting system supports fabrication; it does not by itself certify a finished pressure vessel.
Send shell diameter and length, material and thickness, opening and bevel drawings, part weight and required daily output.
